The Young Adult Program is designed for help young people aged 16-30 year to develop the confidence and skills to help them play positive roles in their communities. In particular, the program aims to:
- Equip students with thinking and decision making skills and relevant topic knowledge to enhance their ability to appropriately respond to life tests
- Support students to develop greater self-awareness
- Develop students' communication skills, enabling them to creatively explore important life experiences and to express difficult emotions without creating needless conflict
- Build the confidence of students that they can make a positive contribution to the world and develop their ability to convert even negative experiences into opportunities for giving
The program is designed so as to be suitable for a flexible range of delivery options. It can be delivered as a series of facilitator-supported workshops, and as a stand alone e-learning course or as a combination of workshops and e-learning. The Young Adult Program is currently being piloted in 6 countries in the Eastern Caribbean.
